JACKSONVILLE - North Florida women's tennis has been selected by the conference's coaches to finish second overall in the Atlantic Sun Preseason Poll, as released by the league on Wednesday afternoon.
The Ospreys earned 78 points in the preseason polling, which tied Lipscomb for second in the ASUN and only trailed Stetson. The 10-time ASUN Tournament champs and seven-time ASUN regular season champs look to return to glory this spring with four returners and four newcomers to this year's squad.
"We are always humbled by the voting process in preseason, but also know it does not dictate the outcome," said head coach
Catherine Dunagan. "Our goals are to play for a championship, and we will continue to stay focused on the growth process from now until April. I look forward to working with this team to achieve our goals and excited about starting play this weekend!"
All four returners have been honored at some point in their careers as either an All-ASUN Freshman Team selection or an ASUN All-Conference selection. Four newcomers, including three freshman, highlights the eight-person team that features no seniors going into the 2025 spring season.
The Ospreys start their campaign on Sunday, Jan. 19, when they face off against Florida in Gainesville, Fla.
