UNF Athletics, Ink Factory Brewing Host Successful "Swoop Session"

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of North Florida athletic department alongside INK Factory Brewing officially released the UNF Athletics inspired hazy pale ale, '"Swoop Session" during an event September 5 at the local taproom. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the "Swoop Session" go towards funding athletic scholarships.Â
"UNF is such a special part of our local community in Jacksonville and it feels good to give back and support North Florida," said Ink co-owner and UNF Alumnus, Aaron Meisenheimer.
Anyone can purchase the beer at Ink Factory Brewing on draft or via canned purchase in-store only. The Ink creative staff designed an Osprey surfing inspired label for the canned beer.Â

"We are so excited about this collaboration with Ink Factory Brewing," Director of Athletics Nick Morrow said. "We are committed to partnering with local businesses to enhance the UNF brand across the region while also bringing greater attention to wonderful Jacksonville businesses. This is a perfect example of a win-win. We are so thankful to the team at Ink Factory Brewing, which also includes UNF alumni. They have been "all-in" since the conversations first started. Their commitment to the collaboration and growth of our scholarship fund is amazing."

UNF looks forward to a strong partnership with Ink Factory Brewing for years to come with plans for additional beer releases once the "Swoop Session" is completely sold out.Â
