
Track & Field Announces Trio of Selections to CSC Academic All-District Team

O'Gorman & Perry Represent Men's Side, Kolbe Highlights Women's Squad
GREENWOOD, Ind. - North Florida track & field garners three selections onto the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, as announced by the national organization on Tuesday afternoon.
Aidan O'Gorman, Cole Perry and Smilla Kolbe each had success throughout competition season, as well as inside the classroom, to met the standards of the recognition. O'Gorman joins Aaron Cuny and Nathan Jubran as two-time academic all-district selections, while Perry and Kolbe each become the ninth unique selections on the men's and women's sides.
Kolbe lead the flock with exquisite academic marks since joining UNF this season with a 4.0 GPA in psychology and criminal justice. O'Gorman reached a 3.62 GPA while majoring in coastal engineering, along with Perry notching a 3.53 GPA as a biochemistry major.
O'Gorman found success this cross country season picking up All-ASUN First Team, ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year, ASUN All-Academic Team and All-South Region honors. Perry also put together an improved season as a sophomore with an All-ASUN XC Second Team selection, while also being recognized on the ASUN Academic Honor Roll in 2022-23.
On the track & field side, Kolbe dominated on all facets to reach her ultimate goal as a participant in the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the women's 800m. She also won ASUN Scholar-Athlete of the Year for both indoor and outdoor, was selected to All-ASUN All-Academic Team for indoor and outdoor, had three All-ASUN selections across cross country, indoor and outdoor, and broke the school record and ASUN Championship meet record for the 800m race.
The 2024 CSC Academic All-District Team recognizes the nation's finest student-athletes on and off the field. Honorees advance to the All-American round, with CSC Academic All-America Team selections released from Jul. 9-10.
About the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Award
The 2024 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Track & Field teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the track, in the field, and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's track& field honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
Academic All-District® honorees were considered for advancement to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. Student-athletes selected as CSC Academic All-America® finalists are denoted with an asterisk and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced July 9-10, 2024.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2023-24 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
