CARLSBAD, Calif. - North Florida men's golf sees a 10-stroke improvement from the opening round to improve to a top-20 standing among the 30-team national field through a pair of rounds at the NCAA Championship on Saturday afternoon.
The Ospreys take a 28-over team score into the third round looking to make the 16-team cut in stroke play.
Nick Gabrelcik had a fantastic showing on the second day of play with five birdies on his way to an even-par round, which puts him tied for 22nd overall among the 150-man field.

- Robbie Higgins finished his final 12 holes with 11 pars and a birdie to be tied for 67th overall at 7-over 151 combined.
- The fellow senior leads remains the leader of the team and top-15 among the field in pars with 26 total.
- Jason Duff carded a pair of birdies, including his hot start off the first hole of the round, to match Higgins' 2-over 74 day remaining in the top 100 at 9-over 153 combined.
- Davis Lee also had two birdies on his way to a 12-over 156 overall score, while Andrew Riley closed out the group's stellar Saturday at 14-over 158 overall.
- Riley continues to show his strengths with a top-six mark in par-three average score (even-par).
