Men's Golf Stays Steady as Leaders of NCAA Rancho Santa Fe Regional

Gabrelcik & Riley Make Up Top Three, Lee in Top 10 Overall

RANCHO SANTA FE, Calif. - North Florida men's golf continues its excellent play out of the West Coast with another clutch stretch of 18 holes staying in first overall as a team after a pair of rounds at the NCAA Rancho Santa Fe on Tuesday afternoon.

The Ospreys are led by Nick Gabrelcik and Andrew Riley in the top three overall, who have combined for 19 birdies through the second round of play in the regional postseason. Davis Lee is another veteran who continues to show out in his final season of eligibility with a top-eight standing to help keep UNF among the top of the leaderboard.

  • Gabrelcik added on five birdies in the second round to shoot 1-under 69 on Tuesday to help him get to second overall at 3-under 137 combined.
  • The senior is on fire with 11 birdies, which is three more than the second-most of any player in the field.
  • He also has a top-five in par-four scoring average at even-par and a top-six mark in par-three scoring average at 1-under.
  • Riley is right behind Gabrelcik with another round of four birdies for 2-under on the day and combined through two rounds.
  • The junior transfer has the sole lead for par-four scoring average at 4-under, as well as the second-most birdies in the tournament with eight total.
  • Lee carded 16 pars in his appearance on day two to reach even-par 140 combined in California.
  • The fifth-year graduate has the second-most pars through 36 holes with 28 total.
  • Both Lee and Gabrelcik put together the second-best par-five scoring average thus far at 2-under.
  • Jason Duff and Robbie Higgins round out the Osprey group with combined scores of 9-over 149 and 12-over 152 respectively.
  • The senior holds a top-six mark for pars with 27 total and a top-eight in par-four scoring average at 1-over.
  • The Ospreys remains the only team with two players in the top three, as well as a trio of players in the top eight overall.
  • UNF has the lead for most birdies with 30 total, along with the best par-four scoring average at 5-over.
