Higgins Finishes Fourth, Makes Third Career ASUN All-Tournament Team

DOTHAN, Ala. - North Florida men's golf rounded out its week with a third-place team finish at the ASUN Championship on Tuesday afternoon. Robbie Higgins was the top Osprey finishing in fourth overall to receive ASUN All-Tournament honors for the third time in his collegiate career.

UNF continues its streak of finishing as a team in the top four in every ASUN Championship tournament since joining the conference in 2004-05. Higgins was one of four Ospreys inside the top 21 with Jason Duff and Davis Lee tied for 17th, while Chase Carroll sharing 21st overall in the field.

ROUND REFLECTIONS

  • Higgins finished the three-day week with a combined score of 5-under 211 and was only one shot short joining a three-team playoff for the medalist crown.
  • He recorded five birdies in his 2-under 70 day after notching a pair of bogeys over his first three holes.
  • The senior recorded the most pars of any player in the tournament with 39 total, while also having the second-best par-four scoring average at 1-under and the third-best par-three scoring average at 3-under.
  • Duff rode off his hot start of back-to-back birdies with six in the final round for a 4-over 220 combined score.
  • He finished with the second-best par-five scoring average at 6-under, while also having a top-10 mark as the team's leader in birdies with 13 total.
  • Lee joined the birdie train for the Ospreys with seven in his final ASUN tournament to join Duff at 4-over 220.
  • The fifth-year graduate also held a top-10 par-five scoring average at 5-under.
  • Carroll had a solid showing over his last 18 holes with 13 pars and a birdie to be right behind the flock at 5-over 221.
  • Duff and Carroll each had a top-10 par-four scoring average at 2-over through the week.
  • Andrew Riley finished the week with a top-six par-four scoring average at 1-over to earn an overall score of 11-over 227.
  • The Ospreys was one of two teams to complete the week with four players in the top 21 of the leaderboard.
  • UNF placed as the best team in pars with 167 total and the best par-four average score at 5-over.
