Broke 18-Hole and 54-Hole Program Records in Medalist Crown Victory
ATLANTA - Christin Eisenbeiss put forth a record-setting effort early this week at the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate to achieve her seventh ASUN Co-Golfer of the Week honor, as announced by the league office on Thursday.
"Christin [Eisenbeiss]'s record-breaking performance at the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate was phenomenal," said head coach Joanne Berglund. "She continues to elevate her game and reach new heights. We are incredibly proud of her and the success she is having."
Eisenbeiss reset various program records in her final home tournament performance with a 8-under 64 opening round and a 12-under 204 final score to win her third career medalist crown. She joins Lipscomb's Lauren Thompson for a share of the conference's weekly award, who also won an individual title this week.
The senior took the top spot at the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate against 18 other teams, while also leading her team to a season-high third overall finish. She also overtook the tournament record for 18-hole score and was two strokes shy of the 54-hole record.
The third career win of Eisenbeiss' illustrious career puts her with Sydney Shrader as the only Ospreys in program history to take home as many as three individual titles. She also becomes the lone program record-holder for top-five finishes, top-10 finishes, top-25 finishes, rounds under par and rounds in the 60s.
Eisenbeiss and the Ospreys will return to play in two weeks at the Spring Break Shootout hosted by Western Kentucky from Mar. 18-19 in Dade City, Fla.
