JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida baseball returns home and welcomes Central Arkansas for their first home ASUN series of the ‘24 season from Mar. 22-24 at Harmon Stadium.

UNF is looking to bounce back following a midweek loss against Bethune-Cookman on Tuesday evening. The Ospreys are currently at the top of the ASUN standings following a three-game sweep of Queens (N.C.).

The Ospreys lead the all-time series, going 2-1. The Ospreys and Bears played each other last season at Harmon Stadium, which was a series the Ospreys won. Central Arkansas is currently 9-12 and is coming off a very impressive midweek performance against Louisiana-Monroe.

North Florida will broadcast each game this weekend on ESPN+. Updates for each game will be made through live stats, as well as on X/Twitter at @OspreyBSB and Instagram at @OspreysBSB.

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - North Florida baseball (13-7, 3-0 ASUN) fell in a midweek matchup against Bethune-Cookman (10-9), 2-1, on Tuesday evening.

The Ospreys' bats struggled throughout the game, mustering only two hits total. They kept the game tied through eight, but lost on a walk-off single in the ninth.

UNF starter Brett Dennis was in control early, looking sharp through two innings. He allowed the game's first run in the third on a solo home run. North Florida did not record its first hit until the fourth, and were unsuccessful in bringing the runner home.

The Ospreys were able to score the tying run in the sixth on a Cherokee Nichols' RBI groundout. That would be the only run scored in the game for the road team. UNF had outstanding pitching throughout the game, especially from Jordan Wimpelberg and Avery Love. North Florida would eventually fall in the ninth on a walk-off single.
