GAINESVILLE, Fla. - After returning to the states early this week, North Florida men's golf showed out once again to start a high-profile tournament sitting in third overall at the Gator Invitational hosted by Florida through the first two rounds on Friday afternoon.

Andrew Riley and senior
Nick Gabrelcik, as they both are second and third respectively among a field that features seven Power Five teams and a pair of conference opponents. Riley notched 10 birdies to go into tomorrow's final round at 8-under, while Gabrelcik continues his impressive campaign tied for third at 7-under.

- Riley put together his best pair of rounds since becoming an Osprey this season with an 8-under 132 score on Friday.
- He sits tied for the best par-three average (4-under) among the entire field as the current overall runner-up.
- Gabrelcik is not too far behind with a score of 7-under 133 that includes 10 birdies for a share of third.
- The senior has the seventh-best par-three average (1-under) after receiving birdie on two of his first three par-three holes.
- Riley and Gabrelcik both have a top five par-four average (2-under) to help them each with bogey-less second rounds.
- Robbie Higgins had eight birdies solely in the opening round to assist his 1-over 141 score on the day.
- He currently leads the field in birdies with 12 total, followed by Riley and Gabrelcik with 10 each in the top four.
- Gabrelcik joined Higgins with a 4-under average to be top six among the field in par-five average.
- Jason Duff put together five birdies, including four in the first round, to stay in the thick of it in the top 40 at 3-over 143.
- Davis Lee was the final team scorer for UNF with his 9-over 149 performance through two rounds.
- Chase Carroll had back-to-back rounds of 3-over 73 to wrap up the day for the Ospreys as an unattached individual.
- The Ospreys are the only school through two rounds with two players in the top three.
