Ospreys Polled as Top ASUN Team, Placed Over Five Power Four Teams
NEW ORLEANS - After repeating as the runner-up at the ASUN XC Championships this past Friday, North Florida men's cross country has been tabbed as the fifth-ranked XC team in the South Region, as released by the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
The Ospreys are placed as the top ASUN team in their region over notable teams, as they sit one spot over Lipscomb. The team also sits ahead of multiple Power Five teams like Florida State, Georgia Tech, Florida and Georgia.
UNF made the jump up four spots from ninth to fifth after its stellar finish in their postseason performance. They finished with five All-ASUN runners, led by Seth Martinez as an ASUN First Team selection.
North Florida's next event will take place at the 2024 NCAA South Region Cross Country Regionals on Friday, Nov. 15, in Tallahassee, Fla.
