JACKSONVILLE - North Florida women's cross country strived for success on the course and in the classroom, as both Smilla Kolbe and Isa Leen landed on the ASUN's XC All-Academic Team, as announced by the league office on Wednesday afternoon.

"These ladies are fully committed to success in all aspects of their lives," said head coach Jeff Pigg. "They engage in doing their very best in everything they do. They are dedicated and work hard, so it is nice to see them honored by the ASUN."

Both Kolbe and Leen held GPA averages of over 3.90, while also being the top two runners for the UNF women's XC team in 2024. Kolbe competed in the ASUN XC Championship to notch back-to-back All-ASUN recognitions, including a First Team selection this year, while Leen finished as the top Osprey twice and earned Second Team All-ASUN honors at the conference meet.

On top of their All-ASUN finishes, the pair of seniors helped UNF place first in their season-opening home meet at the Duval 5K XC Challenge, headlined by Kolbe's top overall placement. The pair later teamed up to lead the Ospreys once again to a runner-up team finish in the conference race.

It's the first time since the 2017 season that the Ospreys have had two or more runners on the ASUN All-Academic Team, along with it being the first time since 2017 that both are ASUN All-Conference and All-Academic. Kolbe also adds in her impressive feat of being a part of all three ASUN All-Academic Teams (Indoor Track, Outdoor Track & Cross Country) in the 2024 calendar year.

The Osprey ladies will return to compete alongside the men in the NCAA XC South Regional meet hosted by Florida State on Friday, Nov. 15, in Tallahassee, Fla.
