Siassi Ties UNF Record for Career Starts
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's soccer (5-3-5, 2-1-2 ASUN) continued its unbeaten run at Hodges Stadium, battling out a 1-1 draw against Austin Peay (4-4-4, 2-1-2 ASUN) on Thursday evening.
Paige McSwigan opened the scoring in the 25th minute after slotting home a pass from Zara Siassi, who stripped the ball from an Austin Peay defender before securing the assist.
The Ospreys took a one-goal lead into the break, but the Governors found the equalizer in the 59th minute when Kylie Wells hit a corner kick into the back of the net.Â
Siassi made her 75th consecutive start for the Ospreys, tying the UNF record for career starts, which was previously held by Kristin Lazowick who played from 2007-2010. Siassi is on track to break the record on Sunday against Lipscomb, if she starts.Â
