Men's Tennis Selected First in ASUN Coaches Poll

Ospreys Garner League-High Nine First-Place Votes
ATLANTA - North Florida men's tennis garnered nine first-place votes and were tabbed to finish first in the 2024 Atlantic Sun Preseason Coaches Poll, as released by the league on Thursday afternoon.
UNF was one of just two teams to earn first-place votes with the Ospreys earning a league-high nine. UNF's 99 points were 19 ahead of second-place Kennesaw State, with Stetson rounding out the top-three collecting the final first-place vote. FGCU and North Alabama took the fourth and fifth positions.
"Being tabbed preseason favorites for the ASUN is a nice accolade for our guys. I think it's a testament to our ASUN regular season title last season, and we are excited about our squad this spring," said head coach Matt Lucas. "Our guys worked extremely hard over the summer and this fall, as we are very eager to get the spring season going. At the end of the day, we are only concerned with the end of season league table and will work every day towards our teams goals! Swoop!"
The landscape of the ASUN has changed yet again with the league now at ten teams after the departures of Liberty and Jacksonville State from the conference. UNF's slot this season is one spot higher than its second-place selection in the '23 preseason.
The Ospreys begin their spring campaign on Friday, Jan. 19, taking on Florida in Gainesville, Fla.
