Attendance Record Set in Women's Soccer's Match vs. No. 1/5 FSU

Ospreys Drop Contest to Seminoles, 4-0
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Attendance history was made on Community Soccer Night at Hodges Stadium as 4,459 fans took in UNF women's soccer's match vs. No. 1/5 Florida State (4-0-0). Despite the 4-0 loss, a new UNF home women's sporting event attendance record was set Thursday, Sept. 7.Â
UNF held the Seminoles to just one goal in the first half but a pair of FSU braces pushed the Noles ahead. A total of 26 Ospreys saw time in front of the record-breaking crowd and Zara Siassi started her 50th-consecutive game.

- First Half: Florida State started off the affair with the majority of possession … the Seminoles' first corner forced Sarah Barrentine to parry it out … FSU opened the scoring in the seventh minute when Jody Brown played a quick pass to Taylor Huff before receiving the give-and-go and putting the shot away … the Seminoles saw a set piece saved by Barrentine in the 19th minute … the Ospreys continued to apply pressure throughout the rest of the half holding FSU to just a one goal advantage at halftime.Â
- Second Half: FSU continued to possess the ball early into the second half … the Seminoles broke through again in the 56th minute, after Zara Siassi blocked a shot into the path of Onyi Echegini before she put the ball away … Sophia Goetz put up the first shot of the game for the Ospreys, testing Cristina Roque with a low driven shot at the near post … FSU increased its advantage to three in the 66th minute when Brown found the back of the net for her second of the game … the Seminoles added a fourth in the 69th minute with Echegini grabbing her brace … Rachel Fishkin entered the match in the 70th minute and made a deft save.
