Second Honor for UNF This Season

ATLANTA, Ga. - For the first time in his career, sophomore Breno Marques was named ASUN Player of the Week as announced by the ASUN office Wednesday, April 5. This is the second ASUN Player of the Week honor awarded to a UNF player this season.

Marques is coming off an undefeated week as he cliched the doubles point with Andreas Scott for the Ospreys against Jacksonville State last Friday. He contributed to the 6-1 win against Jacksonville State after defeating his opponent in two sets with a seven-point tiebreaker. Additionally, Marques earned a 6-4 win in doubles against North Alabama last Sunday. He earned the third point of the Ospreys' 7-0 sweep against UNA with a 6-1, 6-0 score.

Marques is from Natal, Brazil and has made the ASUN Honor Roll the past two seasons. He was an ITA Scholar Athlete last year and carries a 6-5 record in singles play this season.

The Ospreys are hosting Eastern Kentucky Thursday at 2 p.m. at the UNF Tennis Complex.
