
Women's Golf Surges to Fourth at Ironwood Invitational

Cai Cards 3-Under 69 in Second Round to Sit Top 10
GREENVILLE, N.C. - After a rough start through the first nine, North Florida women's golf rebounded its way to a top-four placement through the first two rounds at the Ironwood Invitational hosted by East Carolina on Monday afternoon.
The Ospreys only had one birdie combined in the front nine of the first round before putting together nine on the back nine for 11-over 299. They put together 17 more birdies on the second round to share the best second round team score at 1-under 287 and move up two spots in fourth overall at 10-over 586.
Jessie Cai led the charge for UNF in the second round with her sixth-career round in the 60s at 3-under 69. She had eight birdies combined, including three straight to finish out her second round of play to share 10th on the player's leaderboard.
