WILMINGTON, N.C. - North Florida men's golf had solid showings from its senior leaders, as
Nick Gabrelcik and
Robbie Higgins both sit top 20 through a pair of rounds at the Williams Cup hosted by North Carolina on Monday afternoon.
Gabrelcik had a clean start to the day with six birdies in the first round, while ending the day with two birdies on the last three holes to finish at 1-under 143 combined. His fellow All-ASUN selection, Higgins, carded three birdies during each round to be tied in 19th overall.

ROUND REFLECTIONS
- Gabrelcik has his sights set on his second top-10 finish in the third event of the fall season after his strong start at North Carolina.
- The Trinity, Fla., native had the second-best par-three average (1-under) and the third-most total birdies (10) through 36 holes.
- Higgins, as well as Gabrelcik, will be searching for a third consecutive top-25 finish to start their senior seasons.
- He also had a three-under scoring average on Monday, which ranks top four among the field.
- Jason Duff had a stellar opening round at 1-under 71 with five birdies in his season debut too help share 26th overall.
- Duff tied Higgins for the most pars by an Osprey at UNC with 20 total with one round remaining.
- Andrew Riley rebounded after a rough start with four birdies in round two to be in the top 40, while Davis Lee squeezed into the top 50 on Monday.
- The Ospreys are one of four teams with three players in the top 26 of the player's leaderboard.
- UNF was fifth overall in scoring averages for par-three (9-over), par-four (21-over) and par-five (1-under) holes.
- They were also second in birdies with 32 total, while also notching 92 total pars.
