First Sweep of the Owls Since 2015, Moro Sets ASUN Digs Record
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - A memorable Friday night at The Nest saw North Florida volleyball (9-10, 2-3 ASUN) sweep Kennesaw State (8-7, 1-3 ASUN), while graduate libero Rocio Moro set the Atlantic Sun career-digs record, reaching 2,496 for her tenure in a complete win against the rival Owls Oct. 6.Â
The win marked UNF's first sweep of Kennesaw State since 2015, while also giving the Ospreys consecutive wins against KSU for the first time since 2014.Â
Moro went for a game-high 12 digs, bringing her past former foe Dana Axner of FGCU who held the previous record at 2,486. The libero set the record early on in the first set after tallying two during the opening point.

Inside the Sets
- Set 1: The early stages of the first frame were back-and-forth, with things knotted up at 7-7 … all-told, the frame saw six tie scores, many of which came early on in the frame … UNF went on a 4-0 scoring run with Jessica Buis at the line, giving North Florida an 11-7 advantage that it never relinquished … up by four at the media timeout, UNF used another big run on Amy Burkhardt's serve, a 6-0 clip, to send UNF to the first set victory.
- Set 2: A big Kierstyn McFall block made it 6-4 UNF, setting the tone for UNF as it went on a run to take a 9-4 lead … after KSU called a timeout, UNF kept its foot on the gas, leading by double-digits and finishing with a 10-point win thanks to a scintillating .591 hitting percentage.
- Set 3: North Florida hit above .300 for the third set, but KSU hung around to four kills from Maggie Butkovich and three from a trio of Owls … Kennesaw State held a 10-6 advantage, its largest of the evening, but an 8-1 UNF run gave North Florida the lead … UNF went on to win a challenge, giving the Ospreys a two-point lead and preventing another tie … Annie Antar executed a dump-shot kill for a three-point advantage as UNF eyed a sweep … the Owls went on a late 3-0 run to dance around match points, but a Kailey McKnight swing was too strong to handle as UNF clinched the sweep.
