LAHAINA, Hawaii - North Florida men's golf had four of its five players improve its scores from the first to second rounds, as they now find themselves sitting fourth overall through two days at the Ka'anapali Classic Collegiate on Friday afternoon.
The Ospreys had a big performance from
Nick Gabrelcik with a 6-under 65 round to climb all the way up to a share of seventh on the player's leaderboard.
Robbie Higgins still leads the team after the second round tied for third overall, while
Jason Duff entered the top 25 with a 4-under 67 score.

ROUND REFLECTIONS
- Higgins stayed steady with six birdies on Friday to stay within the top three at 11-under 131 combined.
- He continues to lead the field for most birdies among all individuals with 14 total.
- The senior also has the second-best par-five scoring average (5-under), along with being third in par-four scoring average (5-under) and top 10 in par-three scoring average (1-under).
- Gabrelcik had the best score of the day for UNF with an immaculate six birdies and 12 pars to be the second Osprey in the top seven.
- The fellow senior also has carded the third-most total pars (26) and a top-10 standing in par-four scoring average (4-under).
- Duff had a strong finish with three birdies on the last four holes to move up the leaderboard at 4-under 138 combined.
- He also became the first Osprey this week to record an eagle on the second hole of the day.
- Riley is the fourth UNF golfer to notch a round in the 60s in the second round with five birdies on the day, including three straight, for 2-under 69.
- Carroll started his round with a birdie and ended strong with a birdie-par combo to shoot even-par 71.
- The Ospreys are only one of three teams to have two players in the top seven, as well as one of four teams with three in the top 25.
- UNF holds the second-best average score on par-four holes through a pair of rounds at 16-under, while also recording the fourth-most birdies with 46 total.
- They are also 18 holes away from placing within the top five teams in all five fall tournaments.
