TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - North Florida women's swimming took down Florida Southern thanks to a win in the 100-yard breaststroke from freshman
Ashley Kirby, but fell to Florida State and West Florida in the sixth annual FSU Quad Meet, Friday Oct. 20.
The Ospreys put forth impressive swims against each team, recording ten top-five finishes, 31 top-ten finishes as well as three personal bests.

CLIPBOARD NOTES
- Kirby tallied the second win of her collegiate career in the 100-yard breaststroke with a time of 1:05.25, a personal best
- Amanda Loomis recorded a personal best in the 200-yard backstroke finishing in 2:10.81, good for sixth
- Mutschler produced two top-five finishes in the 200 and 500-yard freestyle events touching the wall in 1:54.99 and 5:08.09
- Victoria Torres swam the 100-yard freestyle for just the second time in her collegiate career, setting a personal best with a time of 53.11
- Hixenbaugh recorded two top-five finishes in the 100 and 200-yard breaststroke with times of 1:08.56 and 2:28.20 respectively
- The group of Kayla Daley, Loomis, Kirby and Torres notched a fifth-place finish in the 200-yard medley relay with a combined time of 1:48.73
- The Ospreys earned its sixth win over Florida Southern, taking a 6-2 series lead

"We swam against three good programs today and getting a win was great for us. This was our fourth meet in as many weeks and we stepped up. Our swimmers are tired but they battled today.
