Ospreys Host 10th John Hayt Birdies & Buckets Competition

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - For the 10th time, North Florida men's basketball and men's golf competed in the John Hayt Birdies and Buckets Competition, hosted at the Hayt Golf Learning Center and UNF Arena Friday, Oct. 20.Â
The event featured the two teams competing in their respective sports as 13 duos composed of one student-athlete from each program aimed to post the lowest score on the 18-hole skills challenge.
The "front nine"Â was held at the Hayt Golf Learning Center, where the teams had to play a mix of short game and putting challenges. The back nine followed at the UNF Arena as the duos had to make three shots from nine different spots on the court.
The lowest score between the two segments determined the winner, with Danny Erickson and Nate Lliteras clipping Robbie Higgins and Trent Coleman after a playoff finish.Â
