VERO BEACH, Fla. - North Florida men's golf moved up the leaderboard in the final round with nice showings from its seniors to place fourth overall of 16 teams at the Quail Valley Collegiate hosted by Michigan State on Monday afternoon.
Nick Gabrelcik led the way on the last day of play with a 5-under 67 round with five birdies and an eagle to share seventh overall.
Robbie Higgins joins the fellow All-ASUN selection with a score under par with four birdies at 2-under 70 to sneak into the top 10 tied for ninth overall.

ROUND REFLECTIONS
- Gabrelcik earned the best score of the day in the final round at 5-under 67 to complete the week at 9-under 207 combined.
- He finished with back-to-back rounds in the 60s to record his third top-10 finish and fourth top-25 finish of the season.
- The senior also has eight rounds under par and has completed all four tournaments under par as well.
- Higgins continued what was a great start during the first two rounds on Sunday into another day under par to hold a share of ninth at 8-under 208.
- He also picked up his second top-10 finish, as well as his third top-25 finish of the season, to help the Ospreys to four consecutive top-five team finishes.
- Both Higgins and Gabrelcik led the team in total birdies with 12 each through three rounds in Vero Beach.
- Jason Duff put together his best career 54-hole score after a solid final round to place 26th overall at 3-under 213.
- The redshirt junior also had the second-most pars shown throughout the week with 39 total to go with his nine birdies as well.
- Chase Carroll also had his top 54-hole score at 1-under 215, while also receiving the best placement of his true freshman season so far in 36th overall.
- Davis Lee rounded out a solid week for the UNF squad at even-par 216 after scoring two birdies and an eagle in the final round.
COACH'S THOUGHTS
"Good final round by Nick [Gabrelcik] and some solid golf by the others to allow us to move up. We didn't make near enough birdies to compete this week. This style is not great for a few of the guys and something that a few of them need to improve on."
