Inside the Match
- First Half: North Florida was the aggressor early, generating early chances while holding the Eagles to only two shots for the whole first half … freshman Allie Fekany got loose in the box and sent a shot off her body just wide right in the ninth minute, marking the first real opportunity … Ariana Munoz sent a booming shot off the crossbar in the 16th minute … Georgia Southern tallied the game's first goal in the 28th minute as Ellie McIntyre slipped past UNF's backline and pushed a shot into the back of the net.
- Second Half: UNF regrouped and replied with the equalizer in the 58th minute … Fekany used her breakaway speed to beat GSU's defense and the keeper unassisted … the eventual game-winning goal came nearly eight minutes later on a header off a corner kick … an unorthodox bicycle kick on a loose bouncing ball in the box turned into a goal in the 79th minute, adding insurance for GSU.
