
Bond Signs With Club Baloncesto Bembibre in Spain

BEMBIBRE, Spain - North Florida women's basketball's Jazz Bond took the next step in her professional career, signing with Club Baloncesto Bembibre in Bembibre, Spain.Â
Bond was drafted in the second round of the 2022 WNBA Draft, being taken 31st overall by the Dallas Wings. She is now the latest UNF women's basketball student-athlete to head overseas to continue her playing career.Â
Former teammates Adrienne Jackson and Janesha Green. Green earned a contract with Ferragudo in Portugal, while Jackson joined the Liffey Celtics.Â
Bond's illustrious career at North Florida officially began on the court in December of 2018. From then on she went to be named a two-time ASUN Defensive Player of the Year honoree, four-time all-league pick, seven-time ASUN Player of the Week and four-time ASUN Newcomer of the Week honoree.Â
She is the program record holder for total blocks and touts the UNF DI-era record for points, rebounds and free throws made. This past year she also took home her second ASUN All-Academic Team laurel to go with CoSIDA First Team Academic All-District honors.Â
In 103 games and 100 starts, Bond scored 1,584 points, grabbed 812 rebounds, blocked 274 shots and dished out 123 assists over 3,082 minutes.Â
