Women's Golf Finishes Season in Eighth at NCAA Tallahassee Regional

Herrick Lead Ospreys With Top-20 Placement
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - No. 49 North Florida women's golf wrapped up the final round of play in Tallahassee to finish the tournament in eighth place at the NCAA Tallahassee Regional.
The Ospreys put together their best placement in an NCAA Regional tournament in program history after competing against nine ranked teams and finishing ahead of No. 26 Illinois and No. 46 Denver. They also had two players inside the top 27 individuals and three players that placed in the top 32, as they were the only non-qualifying team to do so.
Mindy Herrick led all Ospreys throughout this tournament sharing 18th-place with a overall score of 7-over 223, which is the second-best individual placement from a UNF golfer at the NCAA Regionals. She records her seventh top-25 finish of the season and her 26th-career top-25 finish that tops the program's all-time mark.

- Herrick scored par or better in 14 of 18 holes to card 4-over 76 in the final round and place tied for 18th with a cumulative score of 7-over 223.
- The fifth-year senior ends her historic career holding records for top-five, top-10 and top-25 finishes, as well as most career rounds under par and rounds in the 60s.
- She also finishes as a four-time All-ASUN selection, three-time All-Tournament selection, three-time ASUN Player of the Week selection, two-time medalist crown winner and a key member of the 2022 ASUN Championship team.
- Christin Eisenbeiss caught fire late in the day with birdies on three of her last four holes to notch 1-over 73 to bring her total to 9-over 225 sharing 27th.
- She finished the week in fourth out of the field for the most total birdies with 12 total, while also being in seventh for average score on par-three holes at 1-over.
- Sara McKevitt had another solid round to complete her Osprey career, finishing her last two holes with birdie and par to grab 32nd-place at 11-over 227 combined.
- McKevitt wrapped up her career at UNF as a two-time All-ASUN selection and an ASUN Golfer of the Week selection, along with seven top-10 finishes that include top-three finishes at two events.
- Daniela Gonzalez also had a a great finish to her day shooting 2-under in her final five holes to secure 4-over 76 for the round and 17-over 223 overall inside the top 50.
- Jessie Cai rounded out the group with her best score of the week, which included the Ospreys' only eagle in the tournament, joining Herrick and Gonzalez at 4-under 76 on the day.
- The Ospreys were the only non-qualifying team to have three players inside the top 32 individuals, as well as one of three non-qualifying teams to have two players inside the top 27 individuals.
- UNF was one of six teams to score an eagle in the tourney, while also recording the sixth-most birdies with 40 total through all three rounds.

They accomplished three team wins this year at the Palmetto Intercollegiate, the UNF Collegiate and the ASUN Championship, as well as six combined top-three finishes. There were also a pair of medalist crowns won by Herrick at the Reynolds Lake Oconee Invitational and Eisenbeiss at the Ironwood Invitational. Three Ospreys made an All-Conference team and head coach Joanne Berglund was selected as the ASUN's Coach of the Year. They also finished the season with their lowest average score in program history at 290.80, which ranked fifth in their region and 13th in the nation.
