Women's Golf Finishes as Runner-Ups at Chattanooga Classic

Herrick Notches Third Top-Five Placement of Season
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. - No. 54 North Florida women's golf wrapped up play this week with a runner-up finish at the Chattanooga Classic. The Ospreys scored 4-over in the final round of the tournament to turn in a combined score of 6-over 870 on Tuesday afternoon. The Ospreys brought home their third-straight top-three placement this spring, as well as their fifth top-three finish on the season. UNF also finished over six top 100 teams, three Power Five teams and a conference opponent in the 20-team field.
Mindy Herrick carded another great round for the Ospreys as she duplicated her performance from Monday with a 2-under 70 day to finish tied for fourth among the leaderboard. This is the third time she's placed in the top 10, along with her third tournament finished under par this season.

- She also recorded the 16th top-10 finish and 20th round under par in her career, while also finishing as the top Osprey for the third time on the year.
- Jessie Cai scored another great round to follow up her career day on Monday to finish tied for 13th at 3-over.
- Sara McKevitt joined Cai with a share of 13th place after her round of 3-over 75 and finished as the leader in average par-four score (3.83, 4-under).
- Christin Eisenbeiss was the fourth Ospreys to finish inside the top 20 with a combined score of 4-over that tied for 17th for the week.
- Dani Gonzalez also matched Eisenbeiss and Cai third round score of 2-over 74 to wrap up the Osprey group inside the top 50.
- The Ospreys had their four top golfers all finish on the top 20, which makes them the only team to reach that mark at the meet.
- UNF led the field in both average par-four score (3.97, 4-under) and total birdies (52) through all three days of the tournament.
North Florida will travel to North Carolina to play at the Ironwood Invitational hosted by East Carolina starting on Monday, Apr. 4.
