Nash Clinches the Match, Yardley Plays First Match at Top Singles Slot
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's tennis (6-7) received an all-round performance from the team as a number of Ospreys stepped up in UNF's 6-1 rout of UAB (9-7) in the non-conference finale Friday, March 18.

How it Happened
UNF bookended the doubles point with wins at the third and first court. Ana Paula Melilo and Annabelle Davis proved very tough at the third slot, finishing first before UAB evened it at court two. The freshman duo of Isabel Oliveira and Anslee Long rose to the occasion to clinch the point, 6-4.
UAB did tie it, 1-1, by winning at the sixth slot, but wins from Davis and Long at courts two and four respectively quickly put UNF back on top, 3-1. Both Ospreys won in straight sets as courts one, three and five all went to three frames.
Kendall Nash ended up being the clincher for UNF, winning 6-4 in the third set to give UNF its fourth point. Summer Yardley and Oliveira tacked on two more, with Yardley winning at the top slot, 6-2, and Oliveira digging deep to win 7-5 in the third-set tiebreaker.
