ORLANDO, Fla. - It was a tale of two games in Friday's doubleheader at UCF. North Florida erupted for 19 hits in a 10-2 game-one win, while the Knights (11-4) pulled off the seven-inning shutout of the Ospreys as North Florida dropped the second game, 4-0, splitting the twin bill.
UNF's 19-hit total in the first game was the program's most since pounding out 20 in a win against FGCU March 24, 2019.
Max McKinley went five innings, allowing only one earned run to tally the victory in the first game as five different Ospreys (5-11) notched multi-hit performances.
UCF's Connor Staine went the distance in game two, allowing only two hits.

Behind the Line Score
- UNF jumped on UCF's David Litchfield, lacing eight hits in the first two innings to go ahead 4-0 after the top of the second. Isaiah Byars, Aidan Sweatt and Abraham Sequera all notched two-out RBI singles to get UNF ahead, 4-0.
- After a weather delay interrupted play in the second, a pair of UCF doubles gave the Knights their first run of the game.
- UNF pulled off two-out magic again in the third. Brock Edge doubled with one out and after a groundout, Tyler Gerteisen legged out an infield hit. Byars grounded to third, but a high throw allowed Edge to score and Byars to reach. Sweatt drove in Gerteisen with an infield single to shortstop.
- Drew Leinenbach doubled and scored on a throwing error on a comebacker that got away from UCF's pitcher, giving UNF a 7-1 lead in the fifth.
