Behind the Line Score
  • UNF went up 3-0 in the second, generating three hits while taking advantage of an error … Westbrook singled, moved to third on a fielding error and scored after Dallen Leach legged out a fielder's choice, preventing UConn from turning two … Tyler Gerteisen turned on one, doubling into the right field corner and Aidan Sweatt worked a marvelous at-bat before singling in two through the left side.
  • UConn got four runs back in the top of the third, all coming with two outs, taking the lead for good … the Huskies posted two runs on an opposite field two-run home run from Zach Bushling … Casey Dana doubled in two more with a hot shot down the left field line.
  • The Huskies strung some strong two-out at-bats together in the fourth, scoring two more after a double and single made it 5-3 UConn.
  • UNF capitalized on another UConn error and used two-out hitting to cut the deficit to 5-4 in the fourth … Westbrook reached on an error, advanced to second on a wild pitch and scored when Leach singled to left center on a hanging breaking ball.
  • UConn extended its lead to 7-4 in the fifth. A walk and single preceded a two-RBI double from Kevin Ferrer.
  • Two extra-base hits, a walk, hit by pitch and sac fly made it 11-4 UConn in the top of the eighth.
  • Abraham Sequera drilled a ground rule double to dead center and later scored on a Westbrook single to right, giving UNF another run in the eighth. That was it for UNF's scoring.
