Women’s Soccer Clinches Postseason Berth With Senior Day Draw Against Bellarmine

UNF Takes Season-High 22 Shots, Turn in Fifth-Straight Clean Sheet
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida women's soccer turned in its fifth-straight clean sheet (4-6-5, 3-3-4 ASUN) as the Ospreys clinched an ASUN Championship berth after a 0-0 draw against Bellarmine (1-7-9, 1-4-5 ASUN) Saturday, Oct. 22.
The Ospreys put up a season-high 22 shots on the Knights, playing to a scoreless draw for the fourth consecutive game. UNF ends regular season play undefeated at Hodges Stadium with a record of 2-0-4, while not permitting a single goal on the Hodges Stadium pitch. UNF's fourth-consecutive scoreless draw is the longest such streak in program history.
With this result, the Ospreys clinched an ASUN Championship berth, finishing league play with 13 points. UNF will either play FGCU or Lipscomb in the ASUN Championship Quarterfinals.
The Ospreys honored four student-athletes for Senior Day prior to the match, recognizing Kate Carter, Sydney Hauth, Marissa House and Ariana Munoz.

- First Half: The Ospreys applied the pressure early forcing three corner kicks in the opening minutes of the contest … Zara Siassi, Gabby Daly and Marissa House all had attempts on goal in the first 12 minutes … Sofia Miliancano wasn't called into action until the 34th minute when she made a diving stop … the Ospreys outshot the Knights, 10-2, in the first half while taking seven corners to zero for Bellarmine.
- Second Half: Business picked up midway into the second half with Chloe Lynch seeing a shot sail just over the Knights' goal … Daly had an effort from just past the 18 that forced a save from the Bellarmine keeper … Miliancano came up big just minutes later, saving a point blank shot which was the Knights' best chance of the game … with just ten minutes to go, the Ospreys had a flurry of chances on the Knights goal came up empty … a Daly header during that scrum was UNF's best chance … UNF finished with 22 shots, its most on the season.
