TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - North Florida men's tennis had quite the start to the five-day ITA Southeast Regionals, going 6-0 in singles play while also picking up another win in the main draw of doubles play Thursday, Oct. 20 from Florida State.
Bruno Vietri,
PJ Kotan and
Breno Marques all played themselves into the singles main draw after going 2-0 in their respective qualifying singles matches. The trio won four straight-sets matches, sending them to join
Jonas Hartenstein,
Rodrigo Crespo and
Matt Carroll in the main draw.
Hartenstein and Crespo defeated a familiar opponent in Stetson's Ervin Eminefendic and Sven Thiergard, moving on to the doubles main draw round of 32 set for tomorrow against Florida's No. 4-pair in Tanapatt Nirundorn and Togan Tokac.
UNF continues with doubles main draw play tomorrow, as well as the singles main draw with all six Ospreys sent to Tallahassee in competition.
