
MEN'S SOCCER MATCH NOTES: VS BELLARMINE

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - North Florida men's soccer returns home for the first time in just under a month to face off against Bellarmine on Saturday, Oct. 15, at 7 p.m.
Bellarmine boasts an overall record of 6-3-2, including 2-2-1 in conference play in their third season as a D-I institution as a part of the ASUN. They have gone 4-0-1 over their past five games, as the last time the Knights lost was against Central Arkansas, 1-0, at home.
UNF has played three similar opponents so far in ASUN play with games against Central Arkansas, FGCU and Stetson. The Ospreys are 0-2-1 against those teams, while Bellarmine is 1-1-1 when they faced the same teams.
Redshirt junior Nolan McGrath has been red hot for the Knights on offense with four goals to his name this season, as no other player has more than one total. Jack Fischer is another player to look out for with three total assists this year.
Nine different players have scored for Bellarmine this year, as well as seven players that have assisted on those goals. Four players on the Knights have also recorded at least one goal and one assist on the year.
Matthew Brozovich has started nine games in front of the net with 26 total saves and only a 1.11 goals against average in 2022. He holds a 4-3-2 record with three shutouts as the keeper and has a .722% save rate with 91 total shots faced.
North Florida returns to the road to face Lipscomb, who is undefeated in conference play, on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 8 p.m. EST.
WHAT TO KNOW
- UNF will play Bellarmine for the second time since the Knights joined the ASUN.
- Over their previous four games, the Ospreys have put up a 2-0-2 record with three shutouts in those games.
- All four games have been on the road, as they will return for their first home match since playing Stetson on Sept. 17.
- Their last match against FGCU was only the second time under head coach Derek Marinatos that UNF has completed a game in a scoreless draw.
- Micah Gun had another career performance with a season-high seven saves in his fourth career start.
- LJ Estes will not be available for this matchup after receiving a red card against FGCU.
