JACKSONVILLE - North Florida earned the No. 3 seed in the ASUN Championship and starts its postseason quest at second-seeded FGCU Saturday in the quarterfinals.

With a win, North Florida returns to Jacksonville at a site to be determined for the ASUN Semifinals Thursday, April 15.

WHAT TO KNOW
- UNF (4-3-2, 2-2-2 ASUN) lost its last regular season game against Jacksonville as the Dolphins found the net in the first two minutes.
- After the goal, Osprey defense shut down Jacksonville, allowing Padraic Gilley to only have to make one save in the game after the lone goal, however the the team failed to find its equalizer.
- The loss dropped North Florida to the No. 3 seed in the South Division.
- North Florida faced off with FGCU in the 2019 ASUN Semifinals wtih the Eagles grabbing a 2-1 win.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
- FGCU matches with UNF conference play record at 2-2-2, but with a defeat of the Ospreys the Eagles grabbed the No. 2 seed.
- The Eagles are coming off a 2-1 loss against Stetson.
- Junior Marcos Da Paz found his second goal of the season with 0.4 seconds left on the clock.
- Junior O'Vonte Mullings leads the Eagles in goals with four this season.
SERIES HISTORY
- North Florida is 7-7 in ASUN Championship matches and is 1-2 against the Eagles in postseason. The last time the ASUN was split into divisions was 1997.
- UNF has a history of going into double overtime with FGCU, all extra minute games have ended in a tie.
- Junior Bryson Smith found the net in the recent 3-1 loss in Fort Myers.
- Senior Cormac Begley connected with Smith, making it the start to a successful duo on the field.
