Ethan Jones had a similar thing happen earlier this year … the righty had made 69 consecutive appearances as a reliever before making his first-career start February 23 against Florida.

Alex Kachler had a monster day in Sunday's 14-6 win against Jacksonville … Kachler went 5-for-5 with three runs, two RBI and a two-run home run … the Lithia, Fla., native is the first Osprey since 2016 to collect five hits in a game … Kachler is leading the league in hitting at .383 and is coming off his second ASUN Player of the Week selection.

Blake Marabell is putting on a highlight reel with the glove this season … not once, but twice has the senior been on SportsCenter for his play in the outfield … he robbed extra bases, making a play while crashing into the wall in left at Florida State … Friday he was number one on SportsCenter's Top 10 Plays after robbing JU's Duncan Hunter of a home run.
