DELAND, Fla. - North Florida softball bounced back from an opening loss to respond with a 6-1 victory in game two of the doubleheader at Stetson. The Hatters took game one, 9-5.

How it Happened
- The Ospreys took an early lead scoring two runs in the first. Taylor Engman, Ashley Goebel, Shannon Glover and Logan Jackson recorded a hit.
- In the bottom of the first Halle Arends threw two strikeouts, allowing only one hit.
- The Hatters got on the board with one run in the second inning.
- Glover homered to left-center in the fourth to stretch UNF's lead 3-1.
- Stetson answered back with a home run in the bottom of the fourth, then scored five runs off three errors in the fifth to claim the lead, 7-3.
- North Florida attempted to rally back, scoring two runs in the top of the sixth.
- The Hatters tacked on two more runs in the bottom of the sixth to extend their lead.

How it Happened
- Stetson hit a home run in the bottom of the fourth for the first run of the game and its lone score.
- In the fifth, the Ospreys scored four runs to take the lead, 4-1. Kayla Harper singled, Kayla McGory and Rebecca Koskey walked, and Goebel and Jackson were hit by a pitch. Paige Pfent had a two RBI single down the left line during the stretch
- In the sixth, Jackson hit a two-run double to score Engman and McGory. Engman reached when she struck out, but a wild pitch let her take first. She stole second before going to third on McGory's single. Jackson then sent her hit to left field to push the game to 6-1.
- Despite allowing 11 hits, Arends and the UNF defense stranded 12 total runners including five at third base.
How it Happened
- Pfent, Glover and Jackson eached tallied three RBI across the two games.
- Koskey had two hits and two walks on the day.
- Arends ended the day with 11.0 innings pitched, 18 hits, five runs, three walks and five strikeouts.
