North Florida | 3-2-1, 1-1-2 ASUN
Jacksonville |Â 2-4-1, 2-2-0 ASUN
- The win gives UNF eight regular season wins against Jacksonville and the Ospreys retain the Dennis Violet Cup.
- North Florida's three goals were the most against the Dolphins in Division I history and the largest margin of victory. It is also the first time since February 13 vs. Mercer that UNF scored more than one goal.
- Jacksonville held a 4-2 edge in corner kicks with three coming in the second half.
Â
"Great to be back home at Hodges Stadium. Really proud of the guys. It was a complete performance from the keeper to the attack. It was nice to score more than one goal and I am proud of the guys for finally finishing some chances. We were due. What a great way to start playing at home. Hopefully it won't be the last time. We are also excited to win a barrel point for the school and retain the Dennis Violet Cup. We just have to stay process oriented and focus on the things we can control and focus on our next game against Stetson" - head coach Derek Marinatos

HOW IT HAPPENED
- North Florida controlled much of the early goings, getting off three shots in the opening 20 minutes.
- In the 37th minute, Ale Rodriguez Lopez sent a corner into the middle of the box to find Groves' head who then sent it past the keeper for what would be the game-winning goal.
- UNF held the edge into half, holding a 5-2 advantage in shots.
- In the second half, Herbie Steigelman sent a long ball to the Jacksonville side of the field where a misplay by the JU keeper allowed Jovoney Brown to pick up the deflection and bounce it into the left side before the Dolphin defense could get to the goal line for the 2-0 lead.
- Mirza Nevoric scored in the 73rd minute when an Osprey free kick deflected off the Dolphins' wall just outside the box to find Nevoric's head. He flicked it into the lower left corner for the 3-0 lead.
