LEADERBOARD: Battling gusty winds, cold temperatures and a talented field, the North Florida men's golf team posted the low score in both rounds played Monday at the Sea Best Invitational and sit atop the leaderboard with a 13 shot lead.
FIRST TEE
- Freshman
Nick Gabrelcik, the reigning ASUN Player of the Week, continued the strong start to his collegiate career, carding rounds of 66-73 to finish the opening day T2 at 1-under 139
- Fellow freshman
Robbie Higgins is T8 after opening with his low collegiate round 69 followed by a 74 for a 36-hole total of 143
- Junior
Cody Carroll ended the day T13 (146) with rounds of 75-71 while fifth-year senior
Nick Infanti is T18 (147) after rounds of 74-73
- Sophomore
Davis Lee rounded out the Osprey lineup at T45 (153), shooting 71-82
- Junior
Grant Sutliff posted 75-77 (152), ranking T37 playing as an individual
- Ospreys fired an even-par 280 in the morning session followed by a tourney best second round 291 for a two-round total of 571

"The entire day was a grind in that weather. The guys did a great job competing and battling all day. We now had to rest up and be ready to do it again tomorrow. It will be a fun challenge to try and finish it off."
