FT. MYERS, Fla. - North Florida swimming wraps up competition in the fall portion of its 2021-22 campaign on Thursday-Saturday at the Eagle Invitational hosted by FGCU.
FROM THE STARTING BLOCK
- The Eagle Invitational is a three-day meet featuring a morning trial/evening finals format
- Joining the Ospreys at the meet will be host FGCU and fellow CCSA foe Georgia Southern
- ALL-TIME SERIES: 0-17 vs FGCU | 7-14 vs Georgia Southern including a loss in a dual meet earlier this year
- North Florida returns 15 swimmers from last year's squad and welcomes a group of 12 freshmen to this year's team
- Head coach Ian Coffey is in his 8th season at the helm of the Osprey program
- Following the FGCU meet, UNF will be off from competition until Jan. 29, 2022 with dual meet at Georgia Southern
"This is one of our favorite times of the year. Swimming in a three-day, trials/finals meet gets us prepared for the conference championships. Everyone will be able to swim their best events with a little rest. I'm excited to see our freshmen race in this type of meet."Head Coach Ian Coffey
