3/12/2020 6:31:00 PM | General
JACKSONVILLE -- North Florida Athletics announced the following plan of action for the department with hopes of limiting and reducing risks associated with COVID-19Â and protect the health and welfare of Osprey student-athletes, coaches, staff and the community. The plan calls for these actions to be indefinite with senior leadership continually monitoring and subject to change as the situation evolves.
All UNF Athletics' activities including home and away competitions along with practice/training sessions have been suspended indefinitely.  The NCAA has announced the cancellation of all winter and spring national championships. The ASUN Conference also suspended all spring intercollegiate competitions and championships for the 2019-20 season.
Â
The North Florida Athletics ticket office will contact all season ticket holders and single-game ticket purchasers in regards to UNF spring sports.
UNF CAMPUS-WIDE PLAN
In response to the rapidly changing situation with the COVID-19 virus, the University of North Florida in coordination with the Florida Department of Health and the State University System of Florida, is temporarily transitioning all in-person teaching to remote instruction for the two-week period following the completion of spring break week, March 15-22.
Following UNF's scheduled spring break, students will be taught remotely (not in person) for two weeks, March 23 to April 5. UNF is currently planning to resume face-to-face teaching on Monday, April 6. However, that could change with the evolving situation.
During the two-week period following spring break, the UNF campus will remain open, including all residence halls, dining services, the library, student health services and the counseling center.
