Behind the Line Score
- Tyler Coppo lifted a solo home run into the jetstream blowing into right center, putting the Hawks ahead by one after the second inning.
- Tanner Clark and Tanner May teamed up for a nice strike-em-out throw-em-out double play to end the third, but Hartford added another. Bryce Ramsay singled to left, moved to second on a wild pitch on an attempted bunt, took third on a single and scored on a John Thrasher sac fly.
- After a 5-4-3 double play from Jeslyn Whitehead to Grant Grodi and on to Trey Spratling-Williams, freshman Tremayne Cobb Jr. hit a two-out two-run home run to right.
- Opposite field home runs benefited Hartford again in the fifth. With two on, Drew DeMartino tucked a two-out three-run home run inside the right field pole.
- The Hawks plated another two-out run in the sixth after a single, wild pitch and a Thrasher double.
- Two walks, four hits, a hit batter and an error allowed Hartford to score five runs in the top of the eighth.
