JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Freshman southpaw
Tony Roca didn't allow an earned run in seven frames of work and UNF put up crooked numbers in three consecutive innings as North Florida (3-7) downed Hartford (3-3), 7-2, Sunday, March 1.
Roca fanned two, allowing just four hits and one walk while inducing 12 groundouts in his first win in the Navy and Gray.

Behind the Line Score
- Hartford broke the stalemate with a run in the top of the fifth. Kyle Hawes reached on an infield single and took third on a fielding error on a sharply hit ball to Zach West at second. Tim Dickson plated Hawes with a sac fly to center.
- UNF put up a three spot in the fifth to take a 3-1 lead. Ricky Presno and Blake Marabell worked consecutive walks and Chris Matthias delivered an RBI single to right center. Austin Hurwitz coaxed another walk before West rolled a two-RBI single through the right side.
- After a Ricky Presno double, Trey Spratling-Williams belted an opposite field two-run home run to left center for a 5-1 lead.
- North Florida kept the train rolling in the seventh. A West walk, May single, Presno single and a pair of stolen bags plated two.
- Zach Chappell replaced Roca to start the eighth. After a scoreless eighth, Hartford pushed one across on two hits in the ninth. Eddie Miller entered for Chappell with two on and one out before working a strikeout and groundout.
