Behind the Line Score
  • VMI put up four two-out runs in the third, taking a 4-0 lead. With the bases loaded, Will Knight laced a two-run single into right center field. Cody Warner reached on a throwing error after a chopper to short, plating another, and Josh Hollifield rolled one up the middle to score Knight. The Ospreys did evade another run, stopping VMI at the plate on an attempted safety squeeze earlier in the frame.
  • UNF had a good opportunity in the bottom of the third, although a line drive off the bat of Trey Spratling-Williams hung up for VMI's Jordan Ebersole in center field to strand two.
  • The Keydets added their final two-out run in the fifth, making it 5-0. Ryan Hatten reached on a fielding error to open the frame, moved to second on a groundout and scored on a Callen Nuccio single to center field.
  • UNF got on the board in the ninth thanks to a walk, hit by pitch and Cade Reich RBI single up the middle to plate Tanner May. The Ospreys had the bags loaded when lefty Will Lopez got Zach West to groundout to first on a 3-2 count.
