Ospreys Defense Shines in Fourth Straight Win

UNF now in sole possession of second in ASUN standings
JACKSONVILLE - North Florida women's basketball tied a Division I record for fewest points allowed as the Ospreys wont, 57-33, against Kennesaw State to move into second place in the ASUN standings.
North Florida is now on a four-game win streak for just the second time in the Ospreys' Division I history. The Ospreys are 6-1 at home and have won eight of their last 10 games.

The Ospreys held Kennesaw State to just two points in the first quarter for a season-low this season. UNF allowed the opening bucket before going on a 16-0 run to maintain a lead it never relinquished.
Turning Point
Bond scored seven of her points during an 11-4 run to open the third quarter, giving the Ospreys their biggest lead of the game at the time, 39-18, with 4:37 left in the frame.

- After the Owls opened with a layup, North Florida went on a 16-0 run that lasted over the next 11 minutes before Amani Johnson hit a triple to end the scoreless skid.
- Kennesaw State went on a short 5-0 run later in the second to pull within 23-12, but a Victoria Patrick three gave the Ospreys momentum to end the half, leading 28-15.
- Aided by a 7-0 run from Bond on her own, UNF pushed its lead to 39-18 and eventually took its biggest lead late in the fourth quarter, 57-29.Â
- The Ospreys held Kennesaw State to single digit points in three quarters and a season-low 28.3 percent from the floor.Â

- KSU's first quarter points were the lowest of any opponent this season and the third time in the last four years that UNF has only given up two points in a quarter. Both Lipscomb and FGCU only put two up in 2017.

- North Florida has now won five games by 20 or more points this season.
- Rhetta Moore matched her career high with four steals to help UNF set a season-high with 13 takeaways against a D1 opponent.
