LAST WORD
"If you're a college basketball fan, you saw about as good a basketball game as you could possibly witness from every aspect. Two very, very good teams. Two of the best mid-major teams in the country. Both sides went back-and-forth and competed at a high level. When your goal is to win championships, you have to understand it takes that effort and more importantly belief. Our guys had that tonight. We were able to get consecutive stops in the second half and build a 10-point lead. Down the stretch, we did some really nice things and made some great plays, but unfortunately we just didn't make shots. If we had been able to convert one of our open three-pointers late in the game than the game wouldn't have gotten to where it got. Our guys did a great job of executing the game plan and getting good shots. I really proud of the seniors because they understand games like this our critical later in the season and you have to take care of your home court." -- Head coach Matthew Driscoll
