COURSE REPORT:Â Sophomore Nathan Jubran continued his strong season picking up his second consecutive individual title in leading the North Florida men's cross country squad to a runner-up finish at the Mt. Dew Invitational hosted by Florida on Saturday morning. The Ospreys had two top-10 finishers in the 8K race.
FINISH LINE:
- Nathan Jubran led the Ospreys with a first-place finish, covering the 8K course in 25:23
- Leo Queyrou joined Jubran in the Top 10 finishing right behind him in third with a time of 25:34
- Rob Leverone (26:11) and Aidan O'Gorman (26:19) earned spots in the Top-20 with 12th and 16th places, respectively
PIGG'S POINTS
"The men ran okay but we have some work to do. This was a good reminder that success doesn't come easy. We will get back to work and be ready to race at Missouri in two weeks. Nathan Jubran was the overall winner, beating a field of very good runners. He is well prepared and is a fierce competitor. Leo Queyrou is really coming into his own and this was his best collegiate cross country race to date and I'm sure there is more to come. Rob Leverone is starting to compete at the level he has shown in the past as he is coming back from the injury he had last track season.
