Behind the Line Score
- UNF put up a four spot in the first on three hits and three errors committed by UCF's second baseman, Matthew Mika. Chris Berry took the first pitch he saw into center for a single. Jay Prather chopped one to second that could have been two, but Mika booted it. Hurwitz doubled down the left field line, scoring two. Wes Weeks rolled one up the middle that Mika stopped for an infield single, but an errant throw allowed Weeks to advance to second and plate Hurwitz. After an Alex Reynolds flyout pushed Weeks up a base, Mika made another errant throw, this time on a Maberry grounder, scoring Weeks for the 4-0 lead.
- The Knights got two back in the second on Tyler Osik's two-run home run to left center. Osik lifted the long ball after Jay Lyons reached on a throwing error.
- Jean worked a pair of scoreless frames before the Knights cut the deficit to 4-3. Ben McCabe doubled, Ray Alejo singled through the left side and Dallas Beaver clubbed another two bagger to score McCabe.
- UCF knotted it up, 4-4, in the seventh. McCabe walked, Alejo doubled down the left field line and after Clayton was replaced by Eddie Miller, Beaver rolled an RBI groundout to Prather.
- UNF answered with the go-ahead run in the fifth inning on an RBI single from Marabell. Max Law led off the inning with single, took second on a passed ball, moved to third on a Sequera single and crossed home with Marabell's base knock.
- The Knights tied it up in the ninth on a pair of walks and two hit batsmen.
- UCF blew it open with a four-run 11th, using four straight singles, including a bunt single, to take a 6-5 lead and load the bags. Chandler Robertson made it 7-5 with a sac fly and Anthony George eventually made it 9-5 with a two-RBI single.
- UNF wasn't done yet, threatening in the ninth. Walks to Raff Libunao, Alex Reynolds and Law loaded the bags. Sequera went down swinging on a 3-2 offering, but Marabell followed up with an RBI single back up the box. Berry hit a towering fly ball to right, scoring Reynolds although Prather popped out to shortstop to stymie the comeback.
