OPENING SHOT:Â Battling blustery conditions, the No. 68 ranked North Florida women's golf team opened play in the ASUN Championship with a round of 314 on Sunday at the Legends Course of Chateau Elan.
FIRST TEE
- Freshman Liss Davalos made a strong debut in the ASUN Championship, carding a team leading 77 to end the day among the Top 5 individuals (T4)
- A trio of Ospreys including juniors Sydney Shrader and Teresa Conroy along with sophomore Mindy Herrick each posted rounds of 79 for a tie in 8th
- Freshman Daniela Gonzalez rounded out the UNF lineup in T11 after her opening round 80
- As a team, North Florida carded a round of 314, just five strokes behind day one leader Kennesaw StateÂ
