Women’s Tennis Downs UConn, 5-2

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Â UNF women's tennis made it seven wins in a row with a victory against Connecticut (3-8) Saturday, March 16, at the UNF Tennis Complex. The Ospreys improved to 9-2 in Jacksonville, winning their 10th match of the year.
North Florida brought it to the Huskies in doubles. Â Lucia Montano and Florencia Rossi lead the way for the Osprey's as they didn't drop a single game with a 6-0 win. Â Rafaela Gomez along with Constanza Gorches and Valentina Mariotto and Ana Paula Melilo won, 6-1, respectively.
Gomez won at one singles and Melilo took it 6-2, 6-4 at three. UCONN got its first point at the four spot as Cassie Chung upended Mariotto. Gorches clinched it for the Ospreys at five, winning, 6-2, 6-2.
