JACKSONVILLE - North Florida swimming heads up to Tallahassee to face off against Florida State, Florida Southern, and West Florida on Saturday, Nov. 9.
1. DEFENDING HOME
North Florida travels to Florida's capital city to build off of its senior day victory against Georgia Southern. It was a fitting sendoff for the seniors, as it was the first time since 2013 that UNF earned a win against the Eagles. It was also the most points scored vs. the Eagles by UNF since 2009.
Sydney Groth, Annie Fletcher, and
Mary-Kate Wichalonis all posted season-best times in their respective races.
2. COFFEY TALK
"I am excited to see our team get back into competition. We are swimming three really good teams this weekend. I am looking forward to seeing how we perform against this level of competition. We have been training hard and it will be good see where we are as a group."
3. SCOUTING THE OPPONENTS
- West Florida enters the meet with a perfect 8-0 record after defeating their opponents with a combined score of 1264-304.
- Florida Southern is winless on the season, and is looking to turn the season around after a close loss to Saint Leo this past Saturday.
- Florida State is ranked 20th in the country and is currently 2-2 on the season. After a tough start to the season, the Seminoles edged out two big wins against 18
th-ranked Minnesota and conference rival Georgia Tech.
