JACKSONVILLE -- North Florida head women's soccer coach Eric Faulconer announced the addition of transfer midfielder Ariana Muñoz for the 2020 roster.
Muñoz will join the UNF program as a midyear transfer in January, following two collegiate seasons at the University of Miami.
A very creative midfielder, Muñoz is a Jacksonville product who earned a 4-star rating by Top Drawer Soccer coming out of The Bolles School. Additionally, she played her club soccer for Jacksonville Armada FC ECNL.
She won two State Championships at Bolles, earning All-State honors and All First Coast accolades. As a youth player, she participated in the U14 Girls' United States National Team training camp in Portland, Oregon. Muñoz appeared in 14 games with one start for the Hurricanes, recording a goal and an assist against Stetson. She achieved The President's Honor Roll at Miami for attaining the highest possible scholastic achievement at the school.
"We are very excited to have Ariana joining our program this spring," said Faulconer. "She is an extremely technical and creative player and is truly passionate about the game of soccer. We believe her experience playing in the top women's soccer conference in the country, the ACC, is going to be of great value to our program. She strives for excellence both on the field and in the classroom. We are thrilled to have Ariana return home to Jacksonville and we are looking forward to her arrival on campus. We feel she will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact."
